About the museum
The Oandu looduskeskus operates in a former forestry house almost 150 years old, about three kilometres from Sagadi manor towards Altja. The centre presents the possibilities of nature and nature education, and the production and use of forest and timber through the ages. Cultural heritage is also an important theme: the traces of the life and work of earlier generations. Films, slide programmes and exhibitions in the centre’s building and outbuildings support these themes: a cone dryer, a hay barn and an old ice cellar.
From the centre’s yard the Oandu educational trails and the Oandu–Võsu hiking trail start, and connecting trails lead to the Koprarada and the Altja educational trail.
