About the museum
Alisgården local heritage museum in Lappböle is run by Kyrkslätts hembygdsförening (Kyrkslätt Local Heritage Association). The museum's main building is an old residential house that was originally built in 1827 at Alis, the former sergeant's homestead in Evitskog. After being moved to Lappböle, the house was opened as a museum in 1956. Alis is number 2 on a map from 1776.
On the yard there is also a loft store, which was moved here in 1962 from Bak-Tuomola (Thomas) in Evitskog. The most recent addition is the Tina cottage, moved in 2016 from the association's former museum area Gammel-Tina in Masaby. The Tina cottage has served as the museum caretaker's residence and is about 100 years old. The local heritage association has documented its building projects with photographs from 2007 to 2022, and the collections are also available online in the Alisgården eMuseum.
