About the museum
The Antin Automuseo operates in the former cowshed of Vähälä farm in Vesivehmaa, Asikkala. When the farm gave up dairy cattle, the cowshed was converted into a warm storage space for old cars. The ground floor was completed in 2001 and the upper floor in autumn 2005. A craft workshop and shop were also set up in the same building.
The museum displays around 30 museum-registered cars and a few motorcycles. Some of the vehicles belong to the farmer, and some have been brought there on rent to the warm, dry winter barn. The collection ranges from cars of the 1950s to vehicles of the 1970s.
All the cars are roadworthy, and most of them are driven at least to some extent in summer, when the museum displays clearly fewer vehicles.
