About the museum
The Päijät-Hämeen ilmailumuseo is maintained by Lahden Ilmasilta ry, which was founded on 15 November 1962 to bring together people devoted to aviation. The museum is located at Lahti-Vesivehmaa airfield in Asikkala, and its exhibition shows old aircraft from different phases of aviation history.
The museum is open on weekends in summer, and the café of the flying centre serves at the same times. The association also runs presenter training and events on aviation history at the museum.
