About the museum
Apulandia is the home base of the Heinola-born band Apulanta in Hennala, Lahti, on a historic former garrison area. The site opened to the public in 2016, and it houses an Apulanta-themed museum, a summer café called kAhvila and the band's recording studio.
The museum exhibition contains rare collectors' items from the band's long career, stories, videos, photographs, posters, instruments, gold records, stage sets and clothes. The walls of the band's rehearsal room in Heinola are also on display; the band took them along when the building was given a demolition order. The exhibition is updated as new collectors' items are added.
Apulandia also hosts events ranging from orienteering competitions to yard flea markets, and the premises can be booked for private events and group visits.
