About the museum
The Haukipudas local heritage museum is run by Haukipudas-seura ry, which previously operated under the name Kellon-Haukiputaan Kotiseutuyhdistys; its activities began in 1951. The association is responsible for the museum’s operation and exhibitions, organises exhibitions and cultural events, and publishes literature that adds to local heritage knowledge.
The museum is open in summer. During the summer a museum guide is on duty, and a self-guided tour has also been prepared so that visitors can explore the museum independently. Guided visits can be arranged with the association’s chairperson.
