About the museum
The Lapinlahti local heritage museum consists of a local heritage collection owned by the Lapinlahti-Seura, which is kept in the old grain storehouse of Lapinlahti. From the objects an exhibition has been put together in the rectory's stone cowshed (Pappilan kivinavetta), telling the history of Lapinlahti from the end of the Ice Age to the present day.
The exhibition is about everyday life at a time when cows were milked by hand and household necessities were made at home. In summer the stone cowshed also hosts changing art exhibitions, and it is part of the Lapinlahti museum network.
