About the museum
Enso-Gutzeit Oy donated the Ritikanranta area to the City of Imatra in 1972. Two buildings in the area were converted into museums in 1975, and they now belong to the Imatra city museum.
The flats in the wooden residential building show the ways of living of different decades from the early 20th century to the 1960s. The stone-built yard building, which includes a sauna among other things, has been restored to its original form. The museum's objects were received as donations from local residents. The location of the attractive yard on the shore of the Vuoksi makes the museum a pleasant place to visit.
