About the museum
The association “Musée de la 2 CV” was founded in 1988 to promote and preserve the Citroën 2 CV. In 2008 it was recognized as being in the general interest, which allows it to receive donations.
The museum opened in May 1998 in the Framont buildings in the upper Bruche valley. In 2011 it moved about forty kilometers to occupy part of the former Vallérysthal crystal works in Troisfontaines, in the Moselle department, on rue des Cristalleries.
Most vehicles are displayed as they were acquired, unrestored, and still bear traces of their everyday use. The collection of more than 80 vehicles includes saloons, vans and limited series, as well as converted 2 CVs and derived vehicles or vehicles reusing 2 CV parts.
