About the museum
The Brauereikulturmuseum is located in the Bier- und Wohlfühlhotel Gut Riedelsbach in Neureichenau, at the foot of the Dreisesselberg, on the second floor of the building. The estate itself was built around 1900. In 1951 the Sitter family acquired the farm and expanded it from farming and a country inn with guest rooms into a hotel. In 1998 the guesthouse brewery and the family's own brand, Sitter-Bräu, were established, and in 2007 the family opened what it describes as the first beer and wellness hotel. The museum was renovated in 2019.
On display are around 3,000 beer mugs, glasses, bottles, advertising signs and other curiosities, most of them from the period before World War I. Together they give a colorful picture of more than 100 years of brewery advertising and, along the way, tell the story of beer brewing.
