September 20, 2026 – December 13, 2026
Anniversary exhibition on the 25-year history of the Heimatverein, which has co-run and shaped the museum’s work since its founding in 2000.
The Heimatmuseum of the municipality of Weissach has been located in the old schoolhouse in the district of Flacht since 1990. It was founded by the former headmaster and local historian Willy Schray, whose collection of everyday objects and records of village life still forms the core of the permanent exhibition.
To secure the museum's future, the Heimatverein Weissach und Flacht was founded in 2000; since then the municipality and the association have run the museum together. In 2010 the exhibition was redesigned and expanded. It now covers the history of both villages, which were merged into the municipality of Weissach during the 1971 municipal reform.
Part of the exhibition space is also the Galerie Sepp Vees. Special exhibitions and events take place in the house throughout the year.
Admission is free.
