About the museum
Since 1995 the Kraiburg local history museum has been housed in the historic salt storehouses from the early 17th century.
The exhibition presents evidence of the town's eventful history, including items from the era of Inn river shipping and the salt trade. Various crafts, such as brewers and saddlers, are presented. A special rarity is the Kalliope, a functioning standing musical clock from the late 19th century, which has been part of the collection since the end of 2004.
