About the museum
The local history museum opened in 1996 for the municipality's 900th anniversary. It is located in the attic of the school building on Schulstraße and spans three large rooms covering about 350 square meters in total.
The first room shows rural living with a school room, a kitchen, a parlor with a neo-Gothic leather sofa and tiled stove, and a bedroom; devices recall milk processing, bread baking, slaughtering and food preservation. A section on agriculture (150 square meters) presents the farming year with old machines and photographs from 1920 onward; a second section on crafts (200 square meters) features, among other things, a forge from around 1900, a complete shoemaker's workshop and the village's last loom.
Each year there are also changing exhibitions on individual topics.
