About the museum
The Lohrbacher Heimatstuben (local history rooms) are a private museum in the Tannenhof, a former brickworks from the second half of the 18th century near Lohrbach, a district of Mosbach. The collection was assembled by the Ernst family.
On display are agricultural tools, farmhouse household goods and furniture, as well as a collection of so-called Feierabendziegel, that is, decorated bricks that belonged to the production of the former brickworks. The Tannenhof is one of the stations on the historic walking route through Lohrbach, which also includes the parsonage with its plum drying kiln (Zwetschgendarre).
