About the museum
The Erdbachium in the Erdbach district of Breitscheid shows finds and records from its immediate surroundings. After reopening under the new name "Erdbachium", the house sees itself as a center for limestone, the Celts, and culture.
The permanent exhibition shows fossils from the Devonian and original finds from the Celtic period, about 2,500 years old. They come from the immediate area of the village and nonetheless have regional significance.
In addition, there are changing exhibitions. The house is also developing into a meeting place for model railway enthusiasts, with layouts relating to the former Westerwald-Querbahn railway line and models of trucks from regional haulage companies.
