About the museum
The Weinbaustube Kleingartach was set up in 2007 as a branch of the Eppingen Town and Half-Timbered House Museum. It is located in the former town hall of the village, which is now a district of Eppingen but historically belonged to Württemberg, where it was considered the smallest town.
The exhibition links the history of viticulture with local history. It shows typical winegrowers' tools such as vine knives, tubs and woven dung baskets, along with explanations of soil and climate in the region, grape varieties and winepress technology. Because viticulture was an important sideline for many of the village's craftsmen, this connection is also explained. Another theme is the ancestors of the poet Ludwig Uhland. The multifunctional room is also used for wine tastings and readings.
