About the museum

In the ship-shaped building of the visitor centre, the history of boating and sailing on Lake Balaton is shown from its beginnings to the present day: with terrain tables, models, film screenings and simulators, across about 400 m². Short historical films are shown in the cinema room.

The building's mast is the highest built lookout tower on Lake Balaton: 25 metres high, reached by 166 steps or by lift. Together with the height of the lakeshore, the view from about 70 metres extends from Balatonakarattyó to Keszthely. A play room is available for children aged 3 to 10; larger groups can request an animator. There is also a café.
