About the museum
The village heritage house of Diósd was bought by the local government from the heir of Schober Mihály in the early 1990s. Before the war Schober was an innkeeper and sold wine from his own vineyard in his tavern on Szent István tér.
The cellar shows the characteristic design of Swabian cellars. The Swabians settled in the 18th century established vineyards and cellars on the hills, mainly in the area between today’s Béla utca and Szabadság út.
Operating as a village museum, the village heritage house often hosts high-quality events as well. A prior registration is required for visits.
