About the museum
The Túrkeve museum was founded in 1951 and has developed into one of the significant regional museums of the Nagykunság. It is named after the Finta brothers, born in Túrkeve: the artistic oeuvre of Finta Sándor, Finta Sámuel and Finta Gergely is on permanent display.
From the collection a comprehensive permanent exhibition presents all the natural and cultural values that have arisen in the landscape over the millennia and centuries. The parts of the permanent exhibition are the units “Túrkevei évszázadok” (“Centuries of Túrkeve”), “Hírünk a világban” (“Our Fame in the World”) and “Terehalom – Túrkeve földje és népe” (“Terehalom – The Land and People of Túrkeve”).
The museum also organises temporary exhibitions; some of these can only be visited with prior telephone registration. The Vadász Pál Kiállítóterem (Vadász Pál Exhibition Hall) on Kossuth utca is the second venue. The museum also offers museum education sessions.
