About the museum
The museum opened in 1979. Its exhibits fall into two parts: a wide range of valuable machines and curiosities from industry, and the tools of farming. Beside these stands the group of a heated pigsty, a granary, a well with a swape and a cart shed, which preserve the memory of a Matyó courtyard, and next to it the power-machinery hall. The museum grounds cover 8,621 square metres; the collection numbers 2,791 objects and an estimated 290 tonnes.
