About the museum
The Végh Mansion (Végh-kúria) was built in the classicist style in 1840; its builder was the nobleman Végh István. In the second half of the 19th century it was extended with a porch and outbuildings, and at the end of the century further outbuildings were attached. Today the Halasi Civilház (Civic House of Halas) operates in it; its permanent exhibitions present the oeuvre of two painters, Diószegi Balázs and Berki Viola.
