About the museum
The Lápok Háza is a presentation site of the Őrségi Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság (Őrség National Park Directorate) in Szőce. Its interactive exhibition, “A lápok titokzatos világa” (The Mysterious World of Bogs), presents the formation of bogs, their wildlife and the need to protect them.
Next to the house is a propagation garden where protected and strictly protected plants can be seen up close. The courtyard has a small playground and a covered open-air classroom; a buffet operates in the entrance area. The nature trail of the Tőzegmohás láprét (sphagnum bog meadow) can be walked with a guide by prior registration.
