About the museum
The Vízi Vándor Nature Conservation Visitor Centre stands on the bank of the Rába, within the boundary of Csákánydoroszló, beside the Kormorán Kenu Kikötő (Kormorán Canoe Harbour). In the main building, the interactive exhibition “A Rába csodálatos világa” (The Wonderful World of the Rába) presents the wildlife and history of the fourth-longest watercourse in Hungary.
The centre houses a national park gift shop and a tourist information point. On the riverbank, the educational trail “Vízi Vándorok sétánya” (Promenade of the Water Wanderers) introduces the wildlife of the bank. From mid-June to the end of September, guided raft and canoe trips depart on the largely natural stretch of the Rába.
