About the museum

The Jewish community of Miskolc has been an important part of the town’s life since the 18th century. The Jewish Museum and Visitor Centre, operating beside the synagogue in Kazinczy utca, presents the history of the local Jewish community and Jewish traditions.

Visitors can also see the clothing used in religious practice and the surviving relics and treasures; the visitor centre gives insight into Jewish culture and customs. The visit also extends to the synagogue.
