About the museum
The museum in Teolo, in the Euganean Hills, is named after the philosopher and aesthetician Dino Formaggio, who gave the area a collection of contemporary art and a space dedicated to aesthetic reflection. It is housed in the Palazzetto dei Vicari, a historic building in the centre of the village, and opened in 1993.
The collection brings together works by Italian and international artists linked to Formaggio's life and friendships, with a significant presence of 19th- and 20th-century painting and sculpture, largely received as donations.
Alongside the permanent collection, the museum organises exhibitions, events and commemorations, including a biennial dedicated to sounds and instruments from around the world.
