About the museum
The gallery is housed in the Palazzo Carli, on Piazza Duomo in Sacile, and is dedicated to Pino Casarini (Verona 1897 – 1972), a fresco painter, illustrator, stained-glass designer and sculptor. After the artist’s death, his wife donated his work to the parish of Sacile, which keeps it in this building.
The collection comprises 68 paintings, most of them on display, around 150 sketches for the stage designs of the Arena di Verona and around 800 drawings and preparatory studies, dating from 1926 to 1970. The parish archive also holds the artist’s correspondence and private writings, which help to reconstruct his public and private life.
