First Italian museum of contemporary fashion, in Trieste near Piazza Unità d’Italia, with the collection of works by young designers from the ITS Contest.
Curated by the Belgian fashion designer Tom Eerebout, the exhibition explores the relationship between celebrities and stylists in building public image. Clothing and accessories worn by international stars are displayed alongside works by designers who emerged from the ITS Contest.
The projects of the ten finalists of the ITS Contest 2026, selected from hundreds of international applications, are presented. The public can vote for the most inspiring project; the works will then enter the museum's collection.
About the museum
ITS Arcademy is presented as the first Italian museum dedicated to contemporary fashion, conceived as a place of creative discovery for everyone, without the need for design knowledge. It is located in Trieste, on the fourth floor of a historic building near Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia, and is promoted by ITS, the international competition for young fashion talents.
The collection gathers the materials sent to the ITS Contest since 2002: more than 15,000 creative portfolios, over 1,300 garments, accessories and jewellery, and over 700 photographic works, from emerging designers from around 80 countries. The heritage is preserved with the support of Generali and is partly accessible in the digital archive, which is progressively being enriched.
The museum presents the collection and thematic exhibitions that treat fashion as a form of contemporary art, and offers guided visits, family activities, workshops and courses. Membership is also available, giving unlimited access to the exhibitions for one year.
