About the museum
The civic museum of arts and folk traditions in Micigliano opened in 1997 and tells the everyday story of this small village, which lies between the Terminillo massif and the Velino valley.
The collection includes more than six hundred tools and furnishings from rural and craft life: wooden chests, ploughs, work tools and kitchen utensils. Reconstructions of trades, such as those of the woodcutter, the blacksmith and the carpenter, and of corners of a traditional house, are accompanied by historic photographs of work scenes, family portraits and the festivals of the patron saint.
