About the museum
The civic museum was established by the municipal administration in 2002 with the support of private collectors, with the aim of conserving and safeguarding works and objects and making them available to the public. It is housed in the former convent of Santa Chiara, whose Roman layout it preserves.
The route runs through six rooms, where the works of the two artists are placed side by side by theme. Lin Delija, born in Shkodër in 1924, trained in Zagreb and Rome and settled in Antrodoco in 1963; the museum holds about seventy of his paintings, oils on canvas and tempera on panel, as well as drawings in various techniques. Carlo Cesi, born in Antrodoco in 1626 and a pupil of Pietro da Cortona, is represented by an altarpiece and by a canvas attributed to his pupils.
