About the museum
The Grammichele archaeological museum is housed in the Palazzo di Città, the municipal building facing Piazza Carlo Maria Carafa, the centre of the hexagonal square around which the town is laid out. The palace, designed by the Milanese architect Carlo Sada on commission from mayor Rosario Vaccaro, was commissioned in 1888 and completed in 1898. It houses the town hall and the historical archive.
The Comune's website mentions the archaeological museum in the palace, but does not publish information about the collections, opening hours or entrance fees. Visitors need to contact the Comune for a visit.
