About the museum
The Museo del Lupo in Arsita is one of the museums and visitor centres of the Parco nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga. It was created as a space for information and awareness, aimed especially at younger generations, on the age-old relationship between humans and wolves: from a symbol of strength and intelligence to an animal regarded as harmful, and on to the idea of responsible coexistence in areas heavily frequented by people.
Explanatory panels and an extensive multimedia set-up offer an engaging experience; children can try to imitate the call of the wolf. The museum is run by the Arsita section of the Club Alpino Italiano and, according to the park’s portal, is closed because of energy-efficiency works.
