About the museum
The museum opened in Pescara in September 2021 in the historic building that housed the Banca d’Italia, on Viale Gabriele D’Annunzio. It houses the collection of Venceslao Di Persio and Rosanna Pallotta, assembled over more than thirty years, starting in 1987 with the purchase of a portrait by Antonio Mancini.
The route is spread over three floors and fifteen rooms and presents more than 250 works: from the paintings of Mancini and the Neapolitan school to French painting of the 19th century, with particular attention to the Barbizon school. One section is devoted to a collection of frames from the 16th to the 19th century.
The museum offers guided tours for groups, associations and schools.
