About the museum
The museum was founded in the 1980s as an exhibition of agricultural tools made by the classes of the town’s middle school. It became a municipal institution in 1996 and in 1997 joined the Sistema Museale Provinciale (Provincial Museum System).
The collection comprises around 400 objects documenting agricultural and craft work and rural domestic life up to the early decades of the twentieth century. Each piece has a name, a use, a donor and a story, which is happily told in dialect; the route makes it possible to relive the beliefs and knowledge of rural life. Personalised visit routes are available for pupils of primary and lower secondary schools.
