About the museum
The museum is located at Bodoglie Alte, a few kilometres from the centre of Todi, and has been open to visitors since 1987. It was founded by former sharecropper Tersilio Foglietti, who for thirty years collected tools, implements and machinery of rural life in Umbria.
It is housed in a former hayloft, and the displays follow the typical layout of a farmhouse, with a kitchen, a bedroom, a room for weaving and spinning and a room devoted to farm and craft tools. In the farmyard outside are historic tractors, including a Ford from 1917 and a Fiat from 1918.
