About the museum
The museum is located in Casore del Monte, in the oldest part of the village, in rooms beside the church of San Bartolomeo, on the hills above Serravalle Pistoiese. It is an ethnological museum born from the need to document the past life of an area in which agriculture was the dominant activity.
The display gathers historic farm implements, such as a fodder chopper, a seed drill and a plough, some of which still partly work. Comparing them with modern machines shows how simple the tools of work in the fields used to be.
