Museo della cultura contadina e degli antichi mestieri "Antonio De Rosa"
Civic museum in Arzano with tools and objects of rural life, from hemp to crafts, arranged in six thematic sections; free admission.
Have only individual sections read aloud
About the museum
The museum grew out of the generosity of a citizen of Arzano, Antonio De Rosa, who donated the tools from his private collection to the town. For centuries Arzano was an agricultural centre known above all for working hemp, which still appears on the municipal coat of arms, and the collection commemorates this rural tradition.
The Region of Campania recognised the museum as a museum of regional interest in 2010. The objects are arranged by theme and document field work and traditional crafts: ploughing, the grape harvest, farm implements, the cultivation of hemp and flax, everyday objects and old trades.
