About the museum
The pipe museum of Brebbia was founded in 1979 at the wish of Enea Buzzi, founder of Pipe Brebbia Srl and a well-known pipe collector. It is located in Brebbia, in the province of Varese, at the company’s premises in Via Piave: the factory has been producing hand-made pipes since 1947.
The collection was recently enriched by the collection of Franz Schuchardt, made up of 195 unique pieces dating from the nineteenth century to the early twentieth century, which has found a permanent home here.
The museum is also an open workshop: people from other artistic or professional backgrounds who want to get closer to pipe-making can try their hand at the craft. The museum can be visited by appointment during office hours.
