About the museum
MU.DA.C. is the civic museum of contemporary art of Floridia, located in the historic centre, in a palazzo overlooking the central Piazza del Popolo. The building was home to the Failla family from the 18th century, was renovated in the 19th century, and later passed to the barons Mazzarella-Avolio and finally to the Raeli family.
The museum hosts permanent exhibitions of artists who distinguished themselves in the figurative arts, and presents exhibition series, cultural meetings, conferences and round tables. The permanent collection includes works by authors such as Antonio and Gaetano Brancato, Lino Tinè, Turi Volanti, Tino Vaglieri and Sergio Fergola.
The conference room can be used free of charge on written request to the Comune.
