About the museum
The museum, part of the “village museum” (paese-museo) of Guardabosone in the Vercelli area, tells of the rural world and the traditions of the past. It is housed in an old farmhouse and holds looms and tools linked to the processing of hemp, an activity practised in the area until the early 20th century.
Part of the collection documents the production of walnut oil, with an 18th-century press, a stone mill and other tools once used to extract it.
