About the museum
The museum collects objects connected with the worship of the Pietramelara community: sacred vestments, chalices, pyxes, crowns, buckets, haloes and other liturgical vessels in metal and other materials. Among the most notable pieces are a bucket from 1716, a processional cross and a ciborium from the mid-18th century, and a large monstrance from 1780.
Ancient Roman missals, liturgical books, administrative and ecclesiastical chronicle registers and several parchments are also preserved. Among the curiosities are the mechanism of an old tower clock, the wheel of the organ and some of its pipes.
The picture gallery includes fine paintings in excellent condition, such as the 16th-century panel “Estasi di Santa Teresa”, attributed to Tramontano or, according to others, to Camoggi, and a large canvas by Cacciapuoti.
