About the museum
The San Lorenzo museum gathers works linked to the religious life of the parish of Zogno, in the Valle Brembana, laid out over three floors. The first floor displays detached frescoes recovered in the valley and the theme of Christmas and of the Messa grande; the second is devoted to the sacraments, the rosary and funerary rites; the third to popular devotions.
The collections include panel and canvas paintings, largely by local artists, sculptures, sacred vestments, antique ironwork, bells and stone artefacts, as well as parchments, 16th-century printed books and 17th-century printed books. The display is completed by a palaeontological section with fossil fish, some of them large.
