About the museum

The Museo Enologico Toso arose from the decision of the Toso winery to select, catalogue and show to the public objects and equipment from the past. It is located in the heart of Casa Toso, the company’s headquarters in Cossano Belbo.

The collection documents the material culture linked to the raw material, the production processes and the final goals of winemaking. The company explains that it did not conceive it as a nostalgic undertaking: knowing the path travelled, including the hardships of earlier generations, helps to understand where one wants to go, now that robots and computing have entered the cellar’s work cycle.
