About the museum
The collection began in the 1960s through the interest of Aldogreco Bergamaschi, a lawyer born in Milan with ties to Caminata. The museum opened in March 2009 and is on the first floor of the Caminata municipal offices, in the upper Val Tidone.
The display is organised in four sections: the community, with objects from the old Caminata such as the mechanism of the bell tower’s bell, rebuilt in the 18th century; institutions, with objects from local administration, rural life and traditional cooking; the Resistance; and the First and Second World Wars.
