About the museum
The museum opened in 1990 to bring young people closer to the history, traditions and cultural roots of the town. It gathers the tools with which, for millennia, people met their needs and improved the living conditions of their families.
The objects are displayed in six rooms that recreate the setting of an Abruzzo farmhouse of the early 20th century, with period equipment such as typewriters and gramophones. Other areas present the workshops of the blacksmith, the carpenter, the tailor and the shoemaker. A permanent photographic exhibition (1850–1950) documents rural life, school and children's games.
