About the museum
The museum presents the research and natural history studies of the park's management body and is housed in Albano Vercellese, along the central stretch of the Sesia river. Its main nucleus is the ornithological section, with about 700 well-preserved European and non-European birds, displayed by sex and age; about 140 of the species present can be seen in the park as residents or migrants. Each bird is accompanied by a card on its habitat, habits and breeding season.
A smaller section is devoted to entomology, with insects such as true bugs (Hemiptera) and butterflies, while other parts of the display illustrate the botanical features of the woodland and the morphology of the territory.
