About the museum
The parish museum is in Massa Fiscaglia, in the municipality of Fiscaglia (Ferrara), in Piazza Ferrari, next to the collegiate church. It belongs to the network of church museums of sacred art and preserves objects linked to the religious life of the community.
The three rooms display furnishings, liturgical vestments and objects from the collegiate church and the old confraternities: missals and choir books, the bishop’s chair, reliquaries, chalices, pyxes and censers. An important group is linked to the cult of the Madonna della Corba, with the crown, sceptre and precious offerings made to the Virgin, alongside ex-votos dedicated to Saint Rita and a Marian processional banner.
The collection of sacred paintings from the 17th to the 19th century includes an Annunciation attributed to Jacopo Bassano, a Saint Francis receiving the stigmata by Carlo Bononi and a Circumcision attributed to Scarsellino.
