About the museum
The museum illustrates the evolution of the Earth and of humankind through history, from the origins of the universe to the present day, as well as the relationship between people and their environment, a relationship of mutual change and influence. The display was designed for the former hay barn of Corte Valle.
On the ground floor the theme is the evolution of the Earth and of humankind in the Po Plain (Pianura Padana); on the first floor the history and transformation of the delta area are traced. A section of particular interest is devoted to the Etruscan period and the city of Spina, with a stage set that evokes daily life there and interactive stations with plans, photographs, videos and texts.
For younger visitors, experimental workshops in lithic technology and archaeozoology, as well as interactive games, are planned. The structure is designed to be updated over time, including with the contribution of the University of Ferrara and new archaeological investigations by the Soprintendenza.
