About the museum
The Museo del trotto in Migliarino, a village in the Municipality of Fiscaglia, holds a collection of documents, prints, memorabilia and objects dedicated to harness racing (trotto), which is described as the only one of its kind in Italy. The original core comes from the donation of Raffaele Martini (Fondo Martini).
The collection also recalls the horse-breeding tradition for which Migliarino was known. Hundreds of horseshoes, sulkies and equipment that belonged to great champions, including Varenne, are on display, along with the helmet worn by Giampaolo Minnucci at the 2001 Grand Prix d’Amérique.
