About the museum
The Museo Tenco was founded at the end of summer 2006 in Ricaldone, at the wish of the municipality and the Associazione Luigi Tenco. It fulfilled the wish of those who, although they could count on the summer festival dedicated to the singer-songwriter, wanted a permanent venue to keep his memory alive.
Records, photographs, texts and portraits are kept in the former nursery school next to the parish church, renovated by the municipality of Ricaldone with financial support from the Piedmont Region. Next to the museum is the seat of the Associazione Tenco, which has organised the festival “L’Isola in collina” for years, while in the basement there is a wine bar where you can taste Ricaldone wines while listening to the singer-songwriter’s music.
Because the people who open the museum work purely as volunteers, visits are possible only by prior appointment and telephone arrangement; the museum can also be visited on festival days.
