About the museum
The museum grew out of the collecting passion of Giancarlo Tibaldo, who over more than forty years gathered more than ten thousand working items on the history of audio, video and musical communication, science and technology. The route covers over two hundred years of development, from the 18th century to the 1970s.
The rooms are devoted to themes such as inventors, gramophones and phonographs, musical machines (carillons, player pianos, barrel organs), radio with the patents of Tesla and Marconi, the telephone, cinema from magic lanterns to the projectors of the 1960s, photography and television. There are also materials from Ducati, such as capacitors, radios, projectors and calculators, the unique Rumi motorcycles, electrical equipment applied to medicine, and optical and mechanical instruments for school teaching.
The museum is linked to the websites dedicated to antique scientific instruments and antique medical instruments. Visits are currently suspended for renovation works.
